My EASY everyday smokey eyeshadow!

Really happy that another semester is finished and I survived my finals! Running to lectures and studying for tests gave me no time to play around with eyeshadows. I haven’t even had time to really use a couple of my new palettes which I have been so excited about! Every morning I would give myself 10 minutes to do my makeup because of course I always choose sleep over having time to get ready. Even though I never gave myself time I always wanted to still do eyeshadow. One thing I have noticed is that for me light/bright eyeshadows don’t really look the best on me ( I do still like to wear it ) which is why I like to go for dark brown eyeshadows or dark purples most of the time. Smokey eye looks are my favorites but need time. For days I’m running late I like to do a super easy smokey eye look that is very quick to do using only two shades.

The first step I have recently started doing is using eyeshadow primer. I always noticed my eyeshadow disappearing and creasing after a while which never looked good. One day I tried an Urban decay eyeshadow primer sample from Sephora and it changed everything! So happy that I tried it because I actually have seen a difference. When I don’t use it my eyeshadow always creases but when I do use it my eyeshadow stays exactly the same as I put it on even after walking outside in humid rainy weather! I noticed that it also intensifies the pigment of the eyeshadow. With this product you only need to use a little bit to make your eyeshadow look and stay amazing all day! It is definitely worth getting a sample and trying it out!

After applying my primer I start by taking the color ‘Password’ with my real techniques brush. I start at the outer corner of my eye so that most of the pigment is focused on the outer corner. I take that shade all over my lid and blend it so that the color becomes a little lighter as it gets near the inner corner of my eye. You can add more and layer it for more of an intense color. Make sure that you are building up the color and not starting strong because then it will become harder to blend across the lid. Especially since this is a quick look building the color ensures that there isn’t any harsh areas that will take time to fix. Next I like to take a little of ‘Smolder’ and focus this shade only on my outer corner and then blend it. This will help intensify the Smokey eye. I like to use my fingers and blend the edges and smoke it out so that there isn’t any harsh lines or edges. I then take the same ‘Smolder’ shade and apply it on my lower lash line. Applying eyeshadow on the lower lash brings the entire look together especially in a Smokey eye look. For my lower lash line I like to also use the same real techniques brush but I pinch the top with my fingers so that it is easier to apply the shadow closer to my lash line. Blending one last time with a clean brush will make sure that your Smokey eye look is all blended nicely together! To finish it all off you can apply eyeliner and mascara. I normally only like to wear mascara! For my mascara I like to focus it on the outer part of my eye. Both the mascara and the dark shadow on the outer part of my eye gives my eyes an almond shape. All the colors in this eyeshadow palette blend really nicely making it super easy to do a quick Smokey eye with little time. I love doing this easy eyeshadow look that takes no time to do as my everyday on the go makeup look!

I like to pair this eyeshadow look with any nude lip! A few of my favorites at the moment are : Sazan Nude Bobbie brown, Nyx strictly vinyl in the shade sugar mama , or Nyx lingerie in the shade corset!

Happy Makeup Mistake!

After swatching every Toofaced melted matte liquid lipstick at Sephora I found a shade which I really liked and decided to buy it! Once I got home I opened it and realized that it didn’t look like the same shade I had swatched at Sephora. I did get a little annoyed that I had picked up the wrong one since it wasn’t a color I liked to wear all the time but I decided to try it on anyways. The second I applied it I noticed I loved the formula! It wasn’t watery at all and it wasn’t too drying so it was very easy to apply! I just loved how it felt and looked on my lips! I really want to try the other shades since I loved the formula so much! I got the shade “Sell Out” and …. I was actually surprised how much I ended up loving it! I normally go for a nude lip color for an everyday look but I have been wearing and loving this everyday now! It’s a really pretty peachy color! I really like how it isn’t a strong red. Love how it isn’t too dark but has just enough color! I think it’s just perfect! I also love how it stays on all day but does not dry out your lips! It stays pretty all day longgg! I’m sooo happy I picked up the wrong shade! 🙂 Sometimes mistakes can turn out to be a good thing haha

Thank you so much for reading! Also in the bottom picture I’m wearing this lip shade & my favorite hat! 🙂 -xoxo Bahar

Huda Beauty Matte Liquid Lipstick

lip1  I loveee Huda Beauty which is why I really wanted to try some of her products! I decided to order the matte liquid lipstick in the shade “Famous” from Sephora. I always wanted to try out this shade from Huda Beauty and I am so happy I finally did!

This shade is a burgundy/deep red color which I fell in love with when I put it on. The liquid lipstick is a little watery and because of that it feels super light on the lips. It does become matte once it dries but it doesn’t dry out my lips.  Normally when I wear dark lip colors I feel like my lips are very heavy but with this liquid lipstick I felt like I had nothing on! I actually forgot I had a dark red lip on since it felt so lightweight haha. I was also surprised to see that it lasted on my lips for a long time! All of the lipsticks I normally wear don’t last long but this one lasted even after eating soup and mac & cheese. I didn’t even have to reapply once. It also smells amazing! I love it so much that it definitely has become one of my favorites!

Thank you so much for reading!

Cute Things I Bought Today

mini-haul

Today I went to the mall after a long time with my mom. I love shopping with her because we always find lots of cute things together. Today we found a bunch of things together that I instantly loved the second I saw them!

The first thing which I saw  was a super cute Betsey Johnson beanie. I love the color because it’s a really nice soft gray. When I picked it up I fell in love with it more because it is the softest! The top on the outside and inside is fuzzy so it makes it super soft! Between the fuzz it has little sparkles which makes it super cute! The bottom has a tighter knit so it fits very nicely when you wear it. There is a super cute silver heart on the left with Betsey Johnson written on it.  Also love how it’s a bobble hat! It makes the beanie even more cute! I found this beanie at Macy’s. It originally says it’s $24 but I got it on sale for $12. Love this beanie so much… obsessed!

The next thing I fell in love with is a nude color design matte lip crayon from Lancôme. I had to get this one because I just loved the color so much. You can never have too many nude shades! This one is in the shade ‘200 Nothing to Wear’ and the price was $23. It does kind of look like you don’t have anything on but at the same time it makes your lips look really nice. The texture is a nice light weight matte. It won’t look the best on dry lips because the texture of this lip crayon isn’t a creamy matte. I like to wear a lip balm and leave it on my lips for a bit while I do the rest of my makeup and then apply the lip crayon at the end. I also think this color would look nice with a very soft light brown lip liner. I love how it’s easy to carry around and keep in your purse. I know I’ll definitely will be wearing this color all the time and taking it everywhere with me! I’m really obsessed with this nude color!

When I went to pay for the these two items I saw the jewelry section haha. I saw a whole bunch of chokers that were also on sale! I am super obsessed with chokers so seeing all the chokers and the sale sign… I just couldn’t resist!

package-choker

This one is a really cute gold choker with different charms. This choker is INC from Macy’s and it is normally $24 but I got it for $13. It has shiny silver grayish bead which sparkle along the front… so  cute! There is a bead in the back as well. The first charm I think is a crescent moon. The second charm I believe is a tooth charm and the third one is a wish bone charm. Every other charm between is a plain circle one. I think the charms make the choker look different which I really like. I really love how you can wear this choker by pulling on the gold chain to make it smaller or bigger. Once you wear the choker and tighten it, the necklace chain hangs from the side. I think that’s cute… and different! I’ll definitely show the outfit I wear this choker with soon! Super excited!

I got another choker as well but this is more of a basic one. I really have been looking for one like this and finally found one I liked! It is from the same place as the other choker and was the same price as well. It is a black bow tie choker with gold on the bottom. I think the gold bottom makes it much more nicer. It’s just so cute… I love it! Cant wait to wear this one!
